Push Data into Salesforce
Data collected in your surveys can provide powerful insights into your customers’ levels of satisfaction and engagement, as well as their likelihood of renewing or continuing their patronage. Keep your customer records fresh and relevant by pushing survey data directly into Salesforce.
This feature is available only in our Enterprise plan. Contact us to take advantage of this option.
Here’s how:
- Create or select the survey you’ll use to collect feedback.
- Within Design, click Instant Alerts in the Design menu bar.
- Choose Rules & Alerts from the dropdown menu. On the page displayed, you can create, edit, view, delete, enable, or disable rules.
- To create a rule, add the required details and identify the triggering events.
- Survey Response Received
- Conditional Alerts
- Frequency Based Alerts
- Select workflow action: Push Data to Salesforce and continue.
- Select from the following operation types:
- Insert
Use this operation to create a Salesforce Object record from a survey response, using attributes as mapped. - Upsert
- Use this operation to update an existing Salesforce Object record based on a survey response. If the record does not exist, a new Object record will be created.
- To Upsert a Salesforce Object record with a survey response, map the ID/Name/Email from Salesforce.com. You have two options:
- Pull from a question answered by participants.
- Pre-populate Salesforce ID/Name/Email into a survey question –manually, from a file, from a list, or through URL-Based Pre-Population.
- Update
- Use this operation to update attributes of a Salesforce Object record based on a survey response.
- To Update a Salesforce Object record with a survey response, map the ID/Name/Email from Salesforce.com. You have two options:
- Pull from a question answered by participants.
- Pre-populate Salesforce ID/Name/Email into a survey question –manually, from a file, from a list, or through URL-Based Pre-Population.
- Insert
- Next, select the object to perform the operations. The most commonly used Salesforce Objects are listed below, along with the operations that can be performed on each.
Objects Insert Upsert Update Account Campaign Cases Contact Contract Custom Object Lead Opportunity - If you have a Record type created for your objects in your Salesforce account, it will be displayed in the dropdown.
- For a Lead, Lead Source is also displayed.
- When an Update/Upsert operation is performed on an object record, the relevant criteria must be specified.
- Choose the correct attribute of the object record for which the criteria should be fulfilled.
- Select the appropriate question to map with the object record attribute.
- As needed, add more than one set of criteria and rules.
You can set 5 criteria at a given time.
- Map your survey questions with the object attributes.
- Click Save to confirm your mapping.
