                                    Embed Survey in Website

Want to add your project to a website/mobile app? Smart idea! Depending on your site and project purpose, choose from a few options to make the connection. Maybe it’s a short-term link for a quick project, or maybe it’s a form that should be embedded on your site for ongoing access – pick your choice, then start expanding your audience!

                                    Navigate to

                                    Link on Website

Creating a project link on the website is a common and versatile way to collect responses. Publish the link on your website or blog, include it in a newsletter, or send via email.

                                    1. Select your project, then click on the Publish icon.
                                    2. Under Website / App, select Link / QR Code.
                                    3. To generate a new link, choose Create New URL.
                                    4. Enter a description of the URL. A description is especially important if you have multiple URLs posted in different places. A clear description will allow you to differentiate between the two published links.
                                    5. Next you’ll see options to customize your link.
                                    6. If you’d like to restrict your participants, check your preferred option(s):
                                      • Block by IP address
                                      • Block by Cookies
                                    7. Once you have the right settings in place, click on Generate.
                                    8. Once you have generated the link, you can now copy or download a QR code.
                                    9. To use a link already created for this project, choose Use Previously Generated URL and you’ll see a list of all URLs for this project.

                                    Embed

Embedding a survey or form on your website/mobile app allows you to collect responses from website visitors without interrupting their browsing experience or sending them away from your site.

                                    1. Select your project, then click on the Publish icon.
                                    2. Under Website/App, select Embed Survey.
                                    3. Sogolytics provides embedding options for your website and mobile app. Under Select Embedding Option, choose one of the following options:
                                      1. Embed Survey on a Website allows you to integrate a survey into a Web page.
                                        1. Proceed by clicking on Continue.
                                        2. Display Setting lets you control the height and width for your embedded survey and based on the design and target resolution of your web page. You can further customize your survey by setting the border color or show partial survey within your webpage.

You can open an embedded survey in a new tab by enabling Show partial survey within your webpage.

                                        3. You may also refer to the recommended height and width settings mentioned in the help and use these values.
                                        4. Proceed by clicking on Generate code.

                                    Embed Pop-up

Embedded pop-ups allow you to include a survey as part of a page on your website. Want to know more about your website itself? Pop up a Website Feedback Survey to help you gather insights and find ways to improve each visitor’s experience.

In some cases, it doesn’t make sense to display your survey to every single visitor every single time. Whether you’d like to collect feedback at certain intervals, in certain languages, or through certain devices, embedding a pop-up makes it easy to determine when and how your survey will be displayed. Plus, embedding a pop-up takes up less space on your site and draws visitors’ attention to encourage participation.

The platform provides you two embedding options:

                                      • Embed Pop-up: Choose Embed Pop-up if you’d like to control when and how your pop-up is displayed
                                      • Website Feedback Survey: Choose Website Feedback Survey to encourage ongoing visitor feedback.

                                    Embed Option 1: Pop-up

                                    1. Select Embed Pop-up from the publish page and then click on Embed Pop up.
                                    2. Toggle on ‘Feedback Prompt’ to encourage feedback by showing website visitors a pop-up prompt. Enabling this option allows you to customize the content, pop-up prompt size, and buttons.
                                    3. You cannot open the survey in a new window if the feedback prompt is disabled.

                                    4. Select the width of the prompt to display: Regular, Large, Extra Large, or Custom. As needed, adjust the height of the prompt, either in pixels or percentage. By default, the maximum height of the prompt will be 580px.
                                    5. Match the prompt buttons to your website by customizing their text, style, and color.
                                    6. Choose whether to display the survey in a new window or within a pop-up.
                                    7. Select the width of the pop-up to display: Regular, Large, Extra Large, or Custom. As needed, adjust the height of the pop-up, either in pixels or percentage. By default, the maximum height of the pop-up will be 580px.
                                    8. You may choose to customize the header that appears on the prompt and pop-up. As needed, enable the toggle and enter your text and chosen color.
                                    9. Click Advanced Settings if you’d like to:
                                      • Choose what should happen if a participant closes a prompt or pop-up or selects to participate ‘Later’.
                                      • Customize the transitions for the feedback prompt and survey pop-up.
                                      • Decide where on the page the prompt and pop-up should appear.

                                    10. Preview your choices through the example view on the right. This display is based on the available space and does not provide an exact view of how your choices will be reflected on your own site.
                                    11. When you are satisfied with your choices, click Continue.
                                    12. On Continue, you will see the option to customize the display conditions for your pop-up. If you prefer to display the pop-up for all visitors, leave the toggle off and continue to the next step.
                                    13. To review possible display options, toggle on ‘Set Display Conditions’.
                                    14. Use the dropdown menus to define the condition(s) that should determine who sees your pop-up. You can define the conditions based on the following criterias:
                                      1. User Information
                                        • Location – Display the pop-up based on the visitor’s location, as identified by IP address.
                                        • Browser – Display the pop-up based on the visitor’s browser type:
                                          • Google Chrome

                                          • Opera
                                          • UC Browser
                                        • Browser Language – Display the pop-up based on the browser language.
                                        • Device – Display the pop-up based on the visitor’s device: desktop, tablet, or mobile.
                                        • On Exit Intent – Display the pop-up if the visitor demonsrates an intention to leave the website.

                                        • Minimum Minutes on Site – Display the pop-up once the participant has spent a set number of minutes on the website.
                                      2. Frequency
                                          • Display Pop-up every X Visitor – Display the pop-up based on visitor count intervals.
                                            For example:
‘Display pop-up every two visitors’ means that the pop-up will be displayed to the second and fourth visitors, not the first and third.
                                          • Display Pop-up after X Minutes/Seconds – Display the pop-up based on time intervals.
                                        For example:
‘Display pop-up after 30 minutes’ means that the pop-up will be shown to a visitor if they are still on the page 30 minutes after submitting a survey.
                                      3. Timing

                                    15. If you are including multiple conditions, set logic to define whether All or Any rules must be met.
                                      For example:

                                    16. On continue, you will see the option to customize participation settings.
                                      1. Capture Cookies: To pre-populate answers with values from cookies on your website, enable Participation settings and then enable Capture Cookies.
                                      2. For each value to be pre-populated, enter the name of the relevant cookie.
                                        For example:
