Dashboard Options
Creating and managing your ideal dashboard has never been easier! With the following versatile dashboard options, you can effortlessly customize your setup to meet your exact needs. These features are designed to make the process intuitive, empowering you to build and maintain a dashboard that is both highly functional and visually engaging.
Add Multiple Widgets
The new feature is designed to streamline the process of adding multiple questions from a project in the form of Widgets to the custom dashboard, making it particularly beneficial for surveys with extensive question sets. Users can easily select specific questions or metadata to be displayed, tailoring the dashboard to their project’s needs.
To add multiple widgets, please follow the steps below:
- Create a new Dashboard.
- Once the Dashboard is created, open the menu using the three-dots in the top right corner and select Add Multiple Widgets.
- Select the column layout for your widgets. Choose 1 Column to stack widgets vertically, or 2 Columns to place them side by side. The number of rows will adjust based on the number of widgets added.
- Choose the project from which you want to add widgets.
- From the Question and Metadata dropdowns, select the specific questions and metadata for the widgets you wish to add.
- Select the format in which the widgets should display data: Graph, Table or both. All compatible questions and metadata from the selected project will be shown according to the chosen format.
- If you already have widgets on the Dashboard, use the Position option to decide where to place the new widgets—either at the top of the Dashboard before existing widgets or at the bottom.
- Next, go to Advanced Settings to define additional specifications for your widgets.
In Advanced settings you can configure the following:
- Overall: Settings in this section will affect your widgets overall.
- Sort By: Sort your answer options based on the following criteria:
- In order of appearance of the question
- In alphabetical order (A to Z)
- In reverse alphabetical order (Z to A)
- From highest to lowest value
- From lowest to highest value
- Display answers with 0 responses
- Include ‘Did Not Answer’
- Include ‘Incomplete Responses’
- Split ‘Grid Questions’
- Show ‘Overall Metric’
- Sort By: Sort your answer options based on the following criteria:
- Graph Settings: Specify the graph types for single-select and grid questions. Additionally, you can select color palettes for your graphs.
- Overall: Settings in this section will affect your widgets overall.
- Once you have customized all the settings, click Done. All the selected questions will be added as their respective widgets to the Custom Dashboard instantly.
The Add Multiple Widgets option is not available for Drill Down, Ranking, Signature, Numeric Allocation, and Attachment question types.
Duplicate
This option enables you to effortlessly create a copy of your Dashboard. By selecting this option, you can save time that would otherwise be invested in creating an entirely new dashboard. Simply duplicate the existing one and make the necessary modifications as needed.
Widget Settings
This option will allow you to change the overall widget settings for all the widgets in the Dashboard at once. To change the widget settings, follow the steps below:
- Click on the three-dot menu located at the top-left corner of the Dashboard.
- From the Dashboard options, select Widget Settings.
- This will open the Widget Settings dialog box. Here, you can modify the following settings for any widget:
- Overall
- Graph Settings
- In the Overall Settings, you can customize the following aspects of a widget:
- Sort By
- In order of appearance of the question
- In alphabetical order (A to Z)
- In reverse alphabetical order (Z to A)
- From highest to lowest value
- From lowest to highest value
- Display answers with ‘0’ responses
- Include ‘Did Not Answer’
- Include ‘Incomplete Responses’
- Show ‘Overall’ metric
- The Graph Settings option allows you to select the default graph type for all Single Select and Grid questions that will be added in the future. Additionally, this option enables you to choose the Default Color Palette for the graphs to be added.
Layout Settings
The Layout settings allow you to define the structure of your Dashboard. You can set the number of columns, ranging from 1 to 4. Additionally, you can use the following options to adjust the positioning of widgets:
- Widget Push: Automatically adjusts the position of widgets as you move them.
- Widget Swap: Enables swapping the positions of widgets.
- Compact – Left & Up: Displays a compact Dashboard view by aligning widgets to the left and moving them up.
The Swap and Push options are not compatible; only one can be enabled at a time.
Share
Sogolytics recognizes the importance of sharing vital data with peers. Custom Dashboards can easily be shared via email or by providing a Shareable URL. You can also set up a recurring rule to automatically share your dashboard via email on a regular basis.
To share your Dashboard using a Shareable URL, follow the steps below:
- Open the Dashboard you want to share and click on Share from the Dashboard Options. This will open the Share Dashboard page.
- When the share modal opens, click on the Generate at the top of the modal. Clicking this will generate a Shareable URL for sharing the Dashboard.
- To customize the settings of the shareable URL, click on the gear icon next to the Generate button. Using the Settings, you can:
- Set the Link Expiry Date: Specify when the shareable link will expire.
- Control Access: When enabled, the Shareable URL becomes accessible to everyone, allowing them to view the Dashboard.
- Set a Password: The Dashboard owner can set a password that recipients must use to open the Dashboard.
- Allow Recipients to Filter: Enable recipients to view or edit filters at different levels, including the Dashboard level, Widget level, and Time filter level. The owner can grant View or Edit permissions.
- Allow Recipients to Drill Down to Individual Responses: Let recipients drill down into specific individual responses from the graphs in the widgets on the shared Dashboard.
- Once all the customizations are complete, you can share the Shareable URL with others, allowing them to view the Dashboard.
To share your Dashboard using an Email, follow the steps below:
- Open the Dashboard you want to share and click on Share from the Dashboard Options. This will open the Share Dashboard page.
- To share the dashboard via email, click on the Share Via Email option located in the center of the Share Dashboard page.
- This will open a window where you can compose your email. Define the sender and recipient details, and customize the email subject and body using the Email Content wizard.
- Use the Email Customization option to enhance the look and feel of the email. You can add a logo and customize the background and border of the email.
- Once you’ve customized the email, click Next.
- On the next screen, you will arrive at the Schedule & Settings wizard, where you can define when you want to send the shared dashboard email.
- Send Now: This option allows you to send the email immediately.
- Schedule Later: Set the email to be sent later, based on your chosen date and time.
- Recurring: Set up the email to be sent on a recurring basis. You can schedule it for Daily, Weekly, Monthly, Yearly, or Custom intervals. For more details on setting up recurring emails, click here.
- Once you’ve decided how and when to deliver your email, you can set the Link Expiry Date. The shared dashboard email link will be valid until this date.
- Next, use the Link Settings to configure passwords and access permissions, allowing recipients to download, drill down, and filter using the link settings.
- Set Password: The dashboard owner can set a password that recipients will need to open the Dashboard.
- Allow recipients to filter: This option lets recipients view or edit filters at the Dashboard level, Widget level, and Time filter level. The dashboard owner can grant view or edit permissions.
- Allow recipients to drill down to individual responses: This feature lets recipients drill down into specific individual responses from the graphs in the widgets on the shared Dashboard.
- Click Next to review your email, and then click Send Dashboard.
- You can view the details of your shared Dashboard under the Email Recipients tab on your Share Dashboard homepage.
- If you choose to set a recurring email, selecting Recurring will display options to customize your recurring rule. The rule can be configured based on the following criteria:
- Daily: Specify the time for invitations to be sent every day.
- Weekly: Choose both the time and day of the week for weekly delivery. Click the plus icon to add more days.
- Monthly: Choose both the date and time for monthly delivery. Click the plus icon to add more dates.
- Yearly: Choose the month, date, and time for annual delivery. Click the plus icon to add more.
- Custom: Create custom rules by combining any of the above options.
- Once you’ve selected the criteria, define the Start and End dates for your recurring rule.
- Further customize your email using the Link Expiry and Advanced Link Settings options.
- Click Next to review your email, and then click Save Recurring Rule.
- Once you clicked Save Recurring Rule, add a name for your Recurring Rule.
- After you click on Save, you will arrive at the Recuring Rule Dashboard. Here you will be able to see all the Recurring Rules that have been applied for the selected Dashboard.
You can choose to:
Delete
This option allows you to delete the Dashboard. Once you click on Delete, the platform will prompt you to confirm the action. If you click on Yes, Delete! the Dashboard will be permanently deleted.
