Rebranding is demanding, and not just because it’s a cool rhyme. If you want to change things up, you need to get up close and personal with your priorities. You need to know (or figure out!) what you’re about and what you’re not. You need to make hard decisions, and there’s more than a good chance that those involved will have different and even conflicting ideas. If you’ve very lucky, you’ll have lots of tough conversations, which is the best possible way to craft a brand new vision to guide your way forward.
In our case, this conversation has been going on since we started SoGoSurvey. How can we better meet the needs of our clients? How can we deliver powerful solutions that will still be simple and intuitive to use? How can we simultaneously provide both more out-of-the-box options and more customizable controls? Today, the answer to these questions gets a brand new… well, brand!
Why Sogolytics?
Back in the day (2013!), SoGoSurvey was built on a solid foundation to solve some specific market needs. Everyone want an easy-to-use solution that won’t break the bank, right? Sure, but why stop there? Over time, the feedback we heard from our users led to more advanced development, more creative solutions, and more complex features.
Soon, our audience expanded beyond those looking for quick and easy personal or academic projects. Our managed services evolved, and we learned from partnering directly with our clients to administer sensitive internal projects like employee engagement surveys. We started working with larger organizations who had bigger visions about collecting better data — but were struggling with tools that weren’t flexible enough to get the job done.
You know how this story goes. We kept learning. We evolved our solutions to see the big picture, like tracking customer experience throughout their interactions with a particular brand and even a follow-up ticketing system to close the loop with unhappy (or happy!) customers. We built employee experience studies like the employee 360 review, making them easier to administer even for those who’ve never taken a stats (or IT!) course in their lives.
In short: We outgrew our name. While we definitely still help our clients with surveys, most we work with today have also outgrown the ad hoc approach. Most are focused on improving the holistic experience of their customers or employees or both. Enterprise experience management might seem like a mouthful, but it’s leaps and bounds from where we started. Today, the suite of products that we offer within our platform is so much more powerful — in some ways almost almost unrecognizable from when I first started here. Step by step, we’ve come a long way.
The Change
How have we gotten this far? Adding “lytics” to our name is definitely in appreciation for the power our platform delivers, but it’s our people who power everything we do.
“This rebranding isn’t just about changing our name and logo, it’s about our identity as a company and as a team,” shared Natasha Safronova, Director of Product Marketing. “To me, it is truly inspired by people – our dedicated and enthusiastic employees and our clients who accomplish amazing things with our platform every day.”
For many, this change will look a lot like an updated name and logo. And colors. And brand style guide. And website. And. And. And. But beyond the seemingly surface-level changes, we’re reviewing every single aspect of the work we do. What industries are we highlighting? What events will we attend? How do we speak about what we do — and how do we keep learning so we can keep growing? That’s right — there’s no end in sight!
“I am so happy to see all of the hard work that everyone has put in over the past few months come together to realize this new Sogo era,” said Creative Director Zach Dreybus. “Working on this has been such an honor, and I cannot wait to see how the brand continues to grow and evolve in the future. Thank you to everyone for making this such a success!”
There’s a reason one of our favorite hashtags is #sogoteam 🙂
What’s next?
We’re excited to continue the conversation on the ideas and goals that inspire us. You’ll still see a lot of #sogogetexcited and new #sogood initiatives rolling out. Of course, we’re also excited for our current clients to dig in a bit deeper to explore the full Sogolytics suite, and we can’t wait to connect with those who can’t wait to improve experiences!
Got questions? Start with our rebrand FAQ. If you’re a current client, connect with your account manager or reach out through the Help Center in your account. We’ll continue to update resources as we roll out this update, but we’ll be around if you have any questions along the way.

There’s more to explore and so much to say, but I’ll leave you with the most important message of the day, from some of our most favorite people. Welcome to Sogolytics!
