If the survey software you’re using does not provide a feature called Guaranteed Anonymity, get rid of it now. Guaranteed Anonymity is so crucial for candid employee feedback that not having it turns your efforts into a waste of time.
Case in point:
Haris, our chief marketing officer, received a call this morning from a prospective client. On the other end of the line was an HR vice president tending to 9,000+ employees at an industrial and heavy equipment recycling company. I’d call that a pretty tough crowd.
She expressed frustration over low (as in hovering over zero percent) response rates to her employee surveys. “We run anonymous surveys,” she explained, “but most of our employees won’t participate because they don’t trust the anonymity, that it can be compromised.”
Guess what? Her employees are right. The commonly known survey company she’s been using for the last few years does not provide Guaranteed Anonymity. Instead, so-called anonymity requires cutting and pasting URL’s or something… That’s so over with.
Our Veep had to take action. She did her research, discovered that integrated Guaranteed Anonymity does exist and called Sogolytics.
“This is going to eliminate all the worries my employees have about filling out the survey,” Sogolytics’s New HR Client told Haris. No doubt, an exhale of relief went with that comment. We know that because we’ve heard it so many times before.
HR, we’re here for you and keep in mind, the survey software you use makes a big difference when it comes to the actionable results you’ll get.
