Happy Old Year!
I know what you’re thinking. You’re wondering why I’m not wishing you a Happy New Year. Stay with me — I have a reason!
We’re not yet in the new year. Before we get ahead of ourselves I think it’s important to look back, reflect, and be thankful for the year we’re wrapping up. Celebrating a new year with only a few days left in 2017 is like running a marathon and thinking about your next race before you’ve crossed the finish line. It’s understandable to be excited about what’s on the horizon, but it’s also important to acknowledge just how far you’ve come.
At Sogolytics, we’ve had a big year and sometimes it’s easy to forget everything that’s happened. Our CEO, Hamid, recently posted a reflection on this year making the same point. And reflection is important. It helps us remember the hard work, the frustration, the innovation, the breakthroughs, and the people that got us to where we are today.
My favorite part about this year has been the people. I get to work with a lot of really awesome people. They are creative and talented and they care about the work they do. And it’s that individual and collective work that makes it possible for Sogolytics to be the success it is.
But looking back at the year isn’t just about us. In fact, when we think about the people who had the greatest impact on Sogolytics this year, it was you, our customers. You found us, you challenge us, you use us, and you like us. For all that you do and all the ways you push us to be better – we thank you.
We hope your year has been incredible and we looking forward to seeing all that you will create in 2018. Thanks for being here with us this year and we wish you a data-inspired new year!
